EKG Technician

Individuals with the Cleveland State digital certification/badge in EKG technology are fully trained and prepared to manage related responsibilities in physician’s offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities and organizations.

The completed training course covered critical topics and processes for conducting and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs), including the anatomy and physiology of the heart and the operation of EKG machines. Certificate/badge holders can interpret rhythm strips and understand the details of myocardial infarctions.

Recipients of this certificate/badge have successfully completed all coursework and assessments with a score of 80% or higher.

Additionally, individuals with this certification are prepared to take the leading national/industry-recognized certification exam in this fast-growing field: the National Health career Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET).
